Red House Stables, Hamilton Rd, Newmarket,

Suffolk CB8 0TE

Newmarket, Racing's HQ and everything you've ever needed for the thorougbred

With royal patronage since the 17th Century, Newmarket has everything you could ever want for the training and care of thoroughbreds. Mile upon mile of every type of training surface rolled out on both sides of the Suffolk market town. There are ups and downs, bends and curves, practice starting stalls, schooling grounds for jumpers and equine pools.

As a centre of equine excellence it also boasts the highest standard of practicioners. The veterinary facilities are world class and the knowledge and experience of the town's horsemen are legendary. Here you will find physiotherapists, farriers, whisperers, breakers along with the finest studmen on offer. Indeed, alongside the training industry is the breeding industry with acres of glorious studland sustaining the stars of the future. The National Stud, spread over 500 acres on the outskirts of Newmarket, offers such services along with tours, educational training and conferencing facilities, thus providing those interested with first-hand experience.

Here, too, you will find the British Racing School, Tattersalls - Europe's leading bloodstock auctioneers plus purveyors of all products 'horsey' such as Horse Requisites and Gibsons, The Saddlers. The National Horseracing Museum stands on the High Street but is due to move to the site of the historic Palace House Stables where it will operate alongside The Vestey Gallery of British Sporting Art and a living exhibition of the Retraining of Racehorses.

And we mustn't forget the two fine racecourses on the Cambridge side of Newmarket. It is on this side of the town that Red House Stables quietly sits.
